Tachometer Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-0892
I would like to know about the measurement accuracy of the FT-2500, as well as the setting accuracy and linearity of the analog voltage output for rotational speed.
1. Measurement accuracy
This refers to the accuracy of the rotational speed values obtained through measurement.
◆ ±2 × Rotational speed resolution [r/min] ±1 count
* Rotational speed resolution = Frequency range [Hz] ÷ 6400 × 60 ÷ Set pulse count [P/R]
* The accuracy of the rotation speed depends on the frequency range.
2. Setting accuracy
This refers to the accuracy of the frequency value set during measurement.
◆ ±0.5 % of F.S.
(example)
When the set frequency is 10,000 Hz in the 10 kHz range, the actual set value varies within the range of 9,950 to 10,050 Hz.
3. Linearity
This refers to the linearity of the analog voltage output of the rotational speed.
◆ ±0.3 % of F.S.
(example)
When the set frequency is 10,000 Hz in the 10 kHz range, the measured value varies within the range of 9.97 to 10.03 V.
