Totem pole and open collector output types can be extended up to 10 m, while line driver output types can be extended up to 100 m. However, please consider that extending the cables for the collector and open collector output types may lead to the phenomena described below, so please review before use.

• The rise time of the output waveform is becoming longer.
• Decrease in response frequency
• Change in phase difference characteristics between phases A and B.

Also, when laying cables, be sure to connect the shielded wire to the ground. In the case of line driver outputs, always use shielded cables for each pair and the outer shield.
