Totem pole, open collector, and collector output types can be extended up to 10 m, while line driver output types can be extended up to 100 m. However, extending the cable may cause the following issues with collector and open collector output types, so please consider this before use.

• The rise time of the output waveform becomes longer.
• Decrease in response frequency
• Changes in the phase difference characteristics of phases A and B

Furthermore, when laying cables, be sure to connect the shield wire to ground. For line driver outputs, be sure to use individually shielded and outer shielded cables.
