What is a totem pole output?
A totem-pole output is an output circuit that combines two transistors. Since the output level is either High or Low, there are no uncertain signal levels. In the High state, the output level is 10V or higher, and in the Low state, the output level is 0.5V or lower.
The output resistor R0 in the output circuit of the RP-1700 series (see diagram below) uses a thermistor that has a resistance of 22 Ω at 25°C.
*A thermistor is a resistor whose electrical resistance changes in response to temperature changes.
