Question number FAQ-0860

To split the signal of the MP-9810 / MP-9830

(1) To branch the output

This is possible when the distance to the branch destination is short (within 5 m). However, please use a device with an input impedance of 20 kΩ or higher.
When branching with the TM-4100 series, connect the pulse output of the first unit to the SIG and COM of the second unit. (See Figure 1)
Connecting the two units with long signal cables can easily introduce noise, so please use the dedicated amplifier (PA-150). (See Figure 2)

(2) Regarding the dedicated amplifier PA-150 (isolated signal transmitter)

The PA-150 isolated signal transmitter is available as an amplifier for the MP-9810 / MP-9830. Please use it in the following situations:

  • If using a longer cable may introduce noise.
  • If you want to split the signal
  • If you want to add a relay to the cable

* When using the high-speed Magneto-Electric Rotation Detector MP-9830 (0 Hz to 100 kHz), please use it within the input frequency range of the PA-150 (1 Hz to 50 kHz).
