Due to its detection principle, the FX series cannot measure flow rate during filling, and therefore instantaneous flow rate updates will also be stopped. The FX series requires a suitable environment for filling.

Instantaneous and cumulative flow rate "measurement" is not possible until filling is complete. When the fuel level in the FX burette decreases, the filling valve inside the FX automatically opens, and fuel is refilled into the burette. Fuel continues to flow from the FX outlet during filling, so the engine will not stop. (This assumes that the filling flow rate > engine consumption flow rate.)
