Question number FAQ-0755
What are sampling and sampling frequency?
The process of converting a time-varying analog signal into a digital signal at regular time intervals using an A/D converter. Sampling The time interval between sampling is called the sampling period (sampling interval). The reciprocal of the sampling period is also called the sampling period. Sampling frequency This term refers to the speed at which data is acquired. Specifically, it indicates the number of times the input analog signal is sampled per second.
(This will be "frequency").
