Question number FAQ-0747
What is the time window in FFT?
DFT (FFT) extracts a certain sequence of data from a long, continuous time-series waveform and performs a finite Fourier transform on it. The finite time-series data that is subjected to this FFT is called the FFT time window, and its length is called the time window length, because it is like a window extracted from the long-series source data.
