DS-3000 Frequently Asked Questions

In addition to the PC and the DS-3200 enclosure, the following equipment is required:
* The DS-3100 (older model) is not supported.

 

Required hardware

• DS-0392A inter-chassis connection interface (See diagram below for verification method)

-AX-9035 or AX-9036 inter-chassis connection interface cable (0.75 m or 2 m)

​AX-9041 USB cable (2m)

 

Recommended USB hub

​DS-0393 Inter-chassis USB hub

(It is also possible to connect it directly to the PC without using a USB hub.)

Important points regarding FRAME LINK2

• This product is only compatible with the DS-3200 (current model). The DS-3100 (older model) is not compatible.
• The inter-chassis connection box (DS-0394) is absolutely necessary.
• The DS-3200 (main unit) needs to be equipped with an inter-chassis connection interface (DS-0392A).
• Commercially available USB hubs cannot be used. You must use the enclosure-to-enclosure USB hub (DS-0393).
• A license for the DS-0321A (FFT analysis function) software is required. DS-0321 will not operate on its own. ●Operates in FFT-A analysis mode. It will not operate in any other mode.
• ●It is also possible to connect multiple enclosures and a PC directly via USB without using the inter-enclosure USB hub (DS-0393).
• It is not possible to use inter-chassis interface cables of different lengths together.
