Calculate and display the difference in the power spectrum.
The calculation formula is used to display the result. In the case of simultaneous measurement, the difference between the power spectra of ch1 and ch2 can be calculated using the following formula.
PWR1 and PWR2 refer to the power spectra of channels 1 and 2, respectively.
For power spectra saved in a file, the data is displayed on the screen before calculations are performed. The calculation formula is entered by clicking the registered name of the screen data in the input data section of the calculation formula settings screen, or by typing it in using the keyboard. For example, in a 3-screen display, the screen data corresponds to DISP1 to DISP3 from the top left. The calculation formula is specified by the screen data display position.
This example shows how to retrieve saved data on screens 1 and 2, and display the calculation results on screen 3.

■Measurement Examples
- On the "Data Display → Layout Settings" page, select the 3-screen display option.
- On the "Data Display → Input Source Settings" page, the power spectrum of channel 1 will be displayed on screen 1.
- On the "File → Open Data" page, display the power spectrum of the saved data on screen 2.
- Click on the frame in screen 3 (third row) to activate it (the data text will turn blue).
- Open the "Analysis → Formula Settings" page, create the following formula on screen 3, check the "Calculate" box, and click the OK button. The calculation will be executed and displayed on screen 3.

<Note>
The power spectrum data stores the squared value of the amplitude A (effective value). Based on this value, if the Y-axis scale is log, 10logA² is displayed, and if it is LIN, √A²is displayed.
