Is the detection of voltage range over occurring before or after the input filter (characteristics A, B, C)? (I am measuring low-level sounds, but when the A characteristic filter is turned on, the over-display LED turns off, but the waveform changes. When the voltage range is increased, the correct waveform appears.)
The detection of input voltage range overages is performed after the input filter (such as filters with frequency weighting A, B, C, etc.). This detection is carried out by the input amplifier unit, which is part of the front-end unit of the DS-2000 series. The detection results are displayed on the unit's LED and also shown in the software as information, as illustrated in Figure 1. Therefore, when applying the A characteristic filter that attenuates low-frequency components, there may be rare instances where the input range overage cannot be detected, so please be cautious. As a countermeasure, please ensure that the filter selection is set to FLAT and confirm that the overage display LED is not lit before setting the input filter. Figure 1 shows the state of opening "Input → Voltage Range → Set2 Filter Settings."
