DS-2000 Frequently Asked Questions

After replacing my notebook PC's ONO-LINK II <Card> DS-0297 with a DS-0297A, my computer doesn't recognize the DS-0297A card.
You will need to install the driver compatible with DS-0297A.
To use it with the DS-0297A, you need to update the "Configuration" in the "Hardware Software" and configure the "configuration" settings. Please also update your "Analysis Software" at the same time as the hardware update. If you have the latest CD-ROM, you can download the update software from there, or from the "DS-2000 Series Software Download" section on our website.

- To download the latest version upgrade software, please register as a user on the "DS-2000 User Registration Form" page, then proceed to the "DS-2000 Series Software Download" page and download the necessary software according to the instructions there.
Please note that you will need to enter your "Customer Number" when registering as a user.- Please open 'KeyViewer' to check your customer number.
- Please update all hardware-related software for the main unit, as well as your application software (e.g., DS0221). Note that the update software will overwrite the old version, so you do not need to uninstall your current software.
Also, if you are currently using a newer version, you do not need to upgrade.- Please check the contents of “Configuration” below.
- There are specific instructions regarding the order in which to upgrade the main unit software (software related to the hardware) and application software. Please refer to the "Upgrade Instructions" on the "DS-2000 Series Software Download" page.
■ Configuration settings
From the DS-2000 program files, click the [Share] folder, and then click [DS-2000Configuration] from the utilities that appear.
The "Configuration Utility" will start. The Configuration Utility is an application that allows you to configure the interface conditions between your personal computer and the DS-2000, check the DS-2000's hardware information, and update the DSP, among other functions.
Click the [Standard] tab in "Configuration Utility" and set the "Bus Width" and "I/F CardType" items according to the I/F model as follows. For drivers compatible with DS-0297A, "32 bits (DMA)" has been added to the Bus Width setting in DS-2000Configuration. Therefore, if you are using DS-0297A, please select Bus Width: 32 bits (DMA). This is faster than the conventional 32 bits (Fast).
The driver compatible with DS-0297A also supports DS-0297 I/F cards. When using DS-0297, please select BusWidth: 32bits (Fast). Note that while the DS-0297A I/F card will also work with the Bus Width: 32bits (Fast) setting, you will not receive the benefit of higher speed.
