DS-2000 Frequently Asked Questions

"Peak Search" and "Order Band" are both functions designed to track the magnitude of order components as accurately as possible. They are effective when the order does not exactly match the set analysis order or in fixed-width tracking.

■Peak Search

Peak Search is a function that adopts the largest value set within the bandwidth for tracking data against the number of times tracked.

■Order Band

The Order Band is a function that uses partial overall values based on the number of lines set by the BAND WIDTH, centered around a specified number of occurrences for tracking. Additionally, the BAND WIDTH function is active even when PEAK Search is OFF. When both PEAK Search and Order Band are ON, it first performs a Peak Search and then calculates the partial overall values based on the width set by the BAND WIDTH around that point.

If Peak Search is ON and Order Band is OFF, the data indicated by the red circle in the above data will be used. Additionally, if Peak Search is OFF and Order Band is ON, the calculation value for the partial overall will be '1', and if both Peak Search and Order Band are ON, the calculation value for the partial overall will be '2'.
