This is because when recording with the DS-0250 throughput disk, the "Create preview file" option was not selected on the ORF file creation screen.

If you have an ORF file, you can create a "preview file" later.

■ How to create a preview file

• Start up the DS-0250.

  
  

• Click the File menu.

  
  

• Click "Show file preview" to open the "Select preview file" page.

  
  

• When you click the "Create and open preview file" button, a message will appear asking, "OK to create and open preview file?"

  
  

• Clicking "OK" will display the message "...creating," and once completed, the data will be displayed in "FileView."

  
  

• DS-0250 will now be terminated.

  
  

When you look at the files in Explorer, in addition to ***.orf, you will find that files with extensions such as the following have been created:

****.orf (data)

****.or1 (Preview data thinned out on 1/16)
****.or2 (Preview data thinned to 1/256)
****.or3 (Preview data thinned to 1/4096)
****.or4 (Preview data thinned to 1/65536)
