DS-2000 Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-0658
How can I correctly display both the sound pressure value (Pa) and the sound pressure level (dB value) obtained from frequency analysis when importing an RCD file recorded with a DS-0221 into Oscope Professional?
■ Operating Procedure
Once you've loaded the RCD file, change the channel settings in the custom section of the plugin launcher, or from the Tools menu, go to [View] → [Plugin Launcher] → [Custom] → [Change Channel Settings] and change the "Signal Type" to "Sound Pressure Level".
Open the Simple Calculation option in the Signal Processing section of the Plugin Launcher, or from the menu, select [Signal Processing] → [Simple Calculation]. Check all sections in the right-hand column, and in the calculation formula settings below, set "* (multiplication)" and "2E-5 (20μPa is 0dB reference)" and click the Execute button.

This allows us to display the sound pressure value (Pa) of the time waveform and the sound pressure level obtained from frequency analysis with the correct values.
