When does the signal output switch turn orange?

The signal output current is in an overcurrent state.

The specifications state a maximum output current of 10 mA.
This occurs when the input impedance of the other device is small compared to the signal output voltage.
Either reduce the signal output voltage or increase the input impedance of the other device.
