Question number FAQ-0588

Regarding the meaning of the transfer functions a/F and F/a between impulse excitation F and acceleration a.

Inertance: a/F

Appearance mass: F/a

By inputting force (impulse hammer signal) to chA and acceleration signal to chB, and measuring the frequency response function (transfer function) H = chB/chA, such a display is possible.

Additionally, the calculation function 1/H can be used to convert a/F = I.
