CF-5200 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-0527

What is the difference between using power spectrum and power spectral density?

It is used for analyzing continuous spectral signals with a wide frequency range, such as random signals and impulse signals.

This is to create a representation (analysis) that is independent of the frequency range being analyzed.

reference:
The frequency response function (transfer function) is expressed in a way that normalizes it to the unit input energy.
