I would like an explanation of the differences between 1/1 and 1/3 octave analysis.
The bandwidth being analyzed is different, and one-third is narrower.
Considering the central frequency of 1 kHz, the adjacent bands will be at a ratio of either double or half (2 kHz, 4 kHz... 500 Hz, 250 Hz...).
Similarly, 1/3 OCT is approximately 1.26 times the cube root of 2, or one divided by the cube root of 2.
It is determined as a band number by JIS and other standards.
