CF-5200 Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-0407
I want to see frequency analysis and sound pressure levels with the sound level meter signal.
When performing frequency analysis, use the AC output of the sound level meter.
If the A-weighting filter is selected, the output will be affected by the A-weighting filter.
This is used for frequency analysis with the A-weighting filter applied.
Be careful, as turning on the A-weighting on the CF side will cause it to be applied twice.
When the calibration of the sound level meter is performed, the values displayed in the spectrum can be read as sound pressure levels.
1/1 and 1/3 octave displays are also commonly used in sound analysis.
Changes in overall sound pressure levels are measured by the time waveform of the DC output of the sound level meter. The DC output corresponds to a voltage proportional to the display of the sound level meter.
