What is the difference between 1/1 and 1/3 OCT analysis?
The analysis shows that the frequency bandwidth is different.
It is referred to as the center frequency or band N0. in the context of band expression.
The meaning of an octave is double, with a center frequency based on 1000 Hz; below this are 500 Hz and 250 Hz, and above are 2000 Hz and 4000 Hz.
The bandwidth is narrower at 1/3 octave than at 1/1.
In comparison, FFT (frequency analysis) is much narrower.
