The AC output of the sound level meter during calibration (CAL) is 1kHz, and at that time, the sound level meter indicates a value of -6dB on the level range (full scale).

(For example) In the 90 dB range, the sound level meter shows a reading of 84 dB.

The AC output is specified at 0.707 Vrms (with an amplitude of ±1V) for the selected level range (full scale).

When the CAL button is pressed, the full scale is -6dB, which equals 1/2, therefore, the CAL signal is a 1kHz signal of ±0.5 V.

Additionally, changing the range of the sound level meter alters the full scale (in the above example, 90 dB), and therefore the indicated calibration value also changes, resulting in different conditions from those during calibration.

Please set the sound level meter to the desired range before calibration and do not change the range after calibration.
