The AC output of the sound level meter when it is CAL is 1kHz, and the indicated value of the sound level meter at that time is -6dB on the level range (full scale).

(Example) In the 90 dB range, the sound level meter will display 84 dB.

The AC output is specified to be 0.707 Vrms (±1V in amplitude) for the selected level range (full scale).

When the CAL button is pressed, the full scale is reduced to -6dB = 1/2, so the CAL signal is a 1kHz, ±0.5V signal.

Furthermore, changing the range of the sound level meter alters the full scale (90 dB in the example above), which in turn changes the CAL reading, resulting in conditions different from those used during calibration.

Please calibration the sound level meter to your desired range beforehand, and do not change the range after calibration the CF.
