In impact tests, the transfer function is measured using an impulse hammer. Below 1.5 kHz, the COH (Coefficient of Handing) is high and data is obtained, but at higher frequencies, the data becomes unsatisfactory.
I believe the impulse hammer's strike waveform does not contain high-frequency components.
The spectrum of the impulse hammer waveform allows for effective measurement in the flat frequency range.
To measure over a wide area, use a head made of metal.
If the excitation force is insufficient, it will be necessary to test with a vibration exciter.
