CF-4700A/CF-4700 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-0305

I want to use a shape comparator to identify approximately 30 different products. Is it possible to specify and change the judgment line from an external source (PLC)?

can.

By sending commands via RS-232C communication, you can load judgment files stored on an SD card or USB memory stick.

The judgment file will be created in a format that can be read manually.
(This is the same format as saving screen data as text.)

Command CSL filename The filename is the full path name.

The system reads a specified file for determining whether an SD card or USB memory is present, and registers it as shape data.

For SD cards, the drive name is Z.
For USB flash drives, the drive letter is F.

SD cardCSLZ:¥level001.txt
USB flash driveCSLF:¥level001.txt

The full path name should be in English (half-width characters). (The backslash "¥" is shown as a full-width character here for display purposes.)

Create a data file for the judgment line.

The CF-4700 unit is used to set the measurement conditions, and the analyzed data is saved in text format (.txt).

If the measurement conditions on the device and the measurement conditions recorded in the file differ, the data cannot be read.

Change the Y-axis values in this file to the judgment values. (Excel is convenient for this.)

Save the modified files to an SD card or USB memory stick.
