CF-4500 Frequently Asked Questions

Set the trigger mode to "REPEAT". Click the software keys at the bottom of the CF-4500 screen in the following order: [MAIN] → [INPUT] → [TRIGGER] → [MODE], and select [REPEAT].

Set the trigger level to match the amplitude of the single-event waveform. Click [MAIN] → [INPUT] → [TRIGGER] → [TRIGGER VIEW] using the software keys, and set the trigger level as a percentage of the full scale of the voltage range.

Set the average number of attempts to 1. Click the software keys in the following order: [MAIN] → [ANALYSIS] → [AVERAGE] → [SET] → [NUM], and set the average number of attempts to "1". This setting can be done when the "AVGSTART" key is not lit. If it is lit, press the "AVG START" key to turn it off.

Set the CF-4500's rear panel to output the data being measured to "STATUSOUTPUT 1". Click the software keys in the following order: [MAIN] → [COMPARE] → [OUTPUTRELAY] → [JUDGE OUT] → [OUT 1], and then turn on [ANALYSIS DONE].

Turning on the "TRIG" key and the "AVESTART" key on the front panel of the CF-4500 puts it into a trigger waiting state. At this time, "STATUS OUTPUT1" on the rear panel of the CF-4500 is short-circuited. When the trigger is activated and data is acquired, "STATUS OUTPUT 1" becomes open.

The command to start measurement via RS232C is "CST" or "AST" (if the "AVGSTART" key is ON, sending the "CST" command will start the average measurement). The command to read the X-axis value is "LXS".
