CF-4500 Frequently Asked Questions

Set the trigger mode to 'REPEAT'. Click on the software keys at the bottom of the CF-4500 screen in the following order: [MAIN] → [INPUT] → [TRIGGER] → [MODE], and select [REPEAT].

Set the trigger level to match the amplitude of the single event waveform. Click in the order of [MAIN] → [INPUT] → [TRIGGER] → [TRIGGER VIEW] using the software key, and set the trigger level as a percentage of the full-scale voltage range.

Set the average count to 1. Click in the order of [MAIN] → [ANALYSIS] → [AVERAGE] → [SET] → [NUM] using the software key, and set "1" as the average count. This can be done when the "AVGSTART" key is not lit. If it is lit, please press the "AVG START" key to turn it off.

Set the CF-4500 rear panel "STATUS OUTPUT" 1 to output the measurement data. Click in the following order using the software key: [MAIN] → [COMPARE] → [OUTPUT RELAY] → [JUDGE OUT] → [OUT 1], and turn [ANALYSIS DONE] ON.

By turning ON the 'TRIG' key on the CF-4500 front panel and the 'AVESTART' key, the device enters a trigger waiting state. At this time, 'STATUS OUTPUT1' on the CF-4500 rear panel is in a short state. When the trigger is activated and data is acquired, 'STATUS OUTPUT1' changes to an open state.

The measurement start command for RS232C is "CST" or "AST" (when the "AVGSTART" key is ON, sending the "CST" command will directly start the average). The command for reading the X-axis value is "LXS".
