CF-3000 Frequently Asked Questions

The frequency of bearing damage and the frequency of gear damage are different. The natural frequencies of damage to the inner ring, outer ring, and rolling elements of the bearing can be determined by the bearing number (such as the number of balls) and the rotational speed. When there is damage to a gear, an impact vibration occurs once per rotation, so it occurs at the fundamental frequency of rotation (which is different from the gear meshing frequency).
To analyze the vibration frequency due to damage, it is common to perform FFT on signals that have undergone bandpass filtering and envelope processing. The CF-0360 preprocessing function has capabilities for bandpass filtering, envelope processing, integration, and also has functions to calculate and display the aforementioned natural frequencies and meshing frequencies.
