CF-3000 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-0211

When using an external printer, there are some things to keep in mind.

(1) Install the printer driver.
Please prepare and install the printer driver for the floppy disk.
The CF-3000 series runs on Windows 95, so you'll need to follow the same steps as on a standard PC with Windows 95 installed: "Start → Settings → Printer".

(2) If the CF-3000 is the English version
If the printer driver is set to Japanese, garbled characters may appear during installation, but please continue anyway.

(3) After installation, start up the CF-3000 and change the font size. This will allow the driver to be recognized and printing will become possible.

(4) If the printer driver is supplied on a CD, request a replacement from the manufacturer for the floppy disk version, or download it to a floppy disk from the printer manufacturer's website.

(5) Caution
If the text does not appear when you print immediately after installation
Please change the display font on your CF-3000 series printer and then print it out again.
The operation is accessed through the function key "M6 → Change Font" menu.
Actually, any item in this menu will work, but changing the font size is the easiest operation.
Please ensure that the free space on your C drive does not fall below 10MB after installing the driver.
