CF-3000 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-0175

Are there methods other than FD to back up block memory data?

The following methods are possible.

1. Expand the capacity of the memory (C: drive). (Modification is necessary.)

2. Use the upper slot of the PC card slot (spare) to connect an external storage device.
(1) Flash ATA card
(2) Connect to external HDD, MO, ZIP, etc. using SCSI card interface.

The PC card slot is compatible with PCMCIA cards, but caution is required regarding connectivity.
For more details, please refer to the section on Precautions for Using PC Slot Cards.

Generally, a "Flash ATA card" can be inserted into a computer with a PCMCIA slot and used as a memory replacement for an HDD.
After storing data with the CF-3000, this data can be played back and displayed using the DS-0921L licensed software.

Flash ATA cards are available in various capacities on the market.
