Can the VE series gap detector measure composite materials? (In the case of insulators)
If the measurement target is an insulator, composite materials cannot be measured.
| Objects made of a single material can be measured without any issues. (The measurable thickness is less than 1/3 to 1/5 of the sensor's measurement range.) |  |
| If an item is made of multiple materials that are glued together, it cannot be measured because each material cannot be distinguished and measured separately. |  |
| If there are voids inside, the dielectric constant cannot be measured due to the changes caused by those voids. |  |
| If voids appear on the surface and create unevenness, measurement errors occur due to the effects of both the changes in dielectric constant caused by the voids and the surface irregularities, just as mentioned above. |  |
