Linear gauge sensor output specifications and connector specifications

This document describes the signal output circuit for the GS/BS series linear gauge sensors.

 

■Signal output

The sensor outputs a two-phase pulse signal. The distance per pulse is shown in the table below.
When connecting to a display other than our own, a frequency multiplier circuit is required to convert the pulse size to 10 μm or 1 μm per pulse for direct reading.
Please be aware of potential noise and other distractions.

 

Minimum display unit for GS/BS sensors Distance between pulses

For 1μm precision sensors 4 μm
GS-7000 series 2 μm
GS-3800 series 0.4 μm

The output circuit comes in four different configurations depending on the model.
