<1> Connecting the AC adapter
To plug in the included AC adapter, remove the cover cap through the round hole and insert the plug.
Please use the AC adapter with AC 100V. When not using the AC adapter, be sure to put the cover cap on to protect it from dust.
<2> Use with battery power
Connect the AC adapter and charge the device with the power switch in the OFF position.
It will reach a full charge in 16 hours. Please avoid charging for more than 16 hours continuously. (Caution regarding prolonged use of the AC adapter)

Unplug the AC adapter and turn on the power switch.
When the rechargeable battery voltage falls below the specified level, a "B" mark will be displayed on the LCD screen.
When the "B" mark is displayed, connect the AC adapter and begin charging. |

<3> Use with AC adapter
You can use the device by connecting the AC adapter and turning on the power switch. A small amount of charge is being taken at this time, so the device will not power off even if the power supply from the AC adapter is cut off. Please turn it off using the power switch. Do not use the device for extended periods while the AC adapter is connected.
<4> If 0.00mm zero is not displayed when the power is turned on (nothing is displayed)
When using the device for the first time after purchase, or when using it again after several months, the display may not show anything, such as 0.00mm, even when the power is turned on. This is because the battery has discharged; please charge it. For instructions on how to charge (restore) the battery, please refer to this page.
<5> How to reset to zero
The display will show zero when the power is turned on, but it will also show zero and the spindle position will be set to the zero position when the reset switch is pressed briefly.
<6> Selection of Counting Direction
The measured value is added or subtracted as the spindle moves. The direction is indicated on the display with a ▲ or ▼ mark. The direction is switched using the direction switch "+/-".
▲: Adds when the spindle is pressed (+ direction)
▼: Subtraction (minus direction) when the spindle is pushed in.
Note
If you change the direction during measurement, the change will occur when you press the direction switch, so please make your selection before starting the measurement.
<9> Connect to the printer
You can connect an optional printer to the output connector. By turning on the printer's print switch, you can print out the displayed values.
