Digital Gauges: Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-0095

Description of the screen and switches for DG-825, DG-925, DG-525, and DG525H.

(1) I will now explain the screen (LCD display).

・mm
This indicates that the measurement is in millimeters.
The millimeter unit display will disappear while preset settings are selected.

MAX (maximum)
This indicates that the maximum value in MAX/MIN measurement mode is being displayed.
The display will not change unless a value greater than the displayed value is entered.

R (range)
This indicates that the range (maximum value - minimum value) of the MAX/MIN measurement mode is being displayed.

• P (preset)
This displays the preset measurement function.
These are measurements taken from pre-set values. The "P" mark will blink when a preset value is selected.

AB (absolute)
This displays the absolute measurement function.
This measurement uses the point when the power is turned on as the zero point.

B (battery)
This message will appear when the battery voltage falls below the specified value.
If "B" is displayed, please charge the device or use it with an AC adapter.
(Charging method)

E (error)
This displays an error message. It appears when the measurement is unreliable, such as when the spindle movement exceeds the maximum response speed. If "E" is displayed, press the power switch to turn the power off and then repeat the measurement.

This is a direction display. When the spindle is pushed in, the measurement is counted in the positive direction.
Conversely, when this happens, it is counted in the negative direction.
