Explanation of spindle operation for DG-825, DG-925, DG-525, and DG525H.
<1> Spindle tracking speed
The maximum response speed of the spindle is shown in the table below.

Operating at a speed exceeding this may cause malfunctions. If an "E" (error) mark appears on the display, turn the power off using the power switch and perform the measurement again. Depending on the object being measured, it is best to bring the spindle within 1 mm of the object before dropping it.
<2> Regarding spindle lift
When measuring, moving the spindle up and down directly with bare hands may cause errors of several micrometers due to the adhesion of oil (grease), dust, etc. Please use the included finger lift or gently move the measuring probe by pinching it.
<3> Regarding the reference point of the spindle
The stopping point when the spindle is not in contact with a reference surface or other object cannot be a fixed point due to the use of a damper. Please take a reference point at the position where the spindle is pushed in (any position).
