Overview of DG-4320/4340
It performs dimensional measurement when combined with GS series gauge sensors. It also functions as a counter when combined with an encoder.
(1) Front panel

1. Comparator mode status display (※ DG-4340 only)
GATE: Displayed when the comparator function is disabled due to an external input.
COMP1/COMP2/COMP3: Displayed when comparator outputs 1/2/3 are ON.
2. Display of calculation mode status
START: Displayed when MAX/MIN/RANGE calculation starts
MAX/MIN/RANGE: Displays the calculation mode.
3. Display of measured values
Displays data for instantaneous value, MAX, MIN, and RANGE calculations.
4. Setting display
Display various data when setting/confirming parameter values.
5. Mode switching
Switching between measurement mode and setting mode
6. Confirm settings and move to the next item.
A key used to confirm the settings of the conditions, or to move to the next item in the set conditions.
7. Check settings and move upwards.
COND: Checking the setting conditions
∧: Move the cursor above the condition setting cursor.
8. Starting the operation and moving downwards
START: Key for starting MAX/MIN/RANGE calculations. (Automatically erases past data)
∨: Move condition setting cursor downwards
9. Stopping calculations and moving left
STOP: Stop the calculation
10. Reset/Key Protect/Move Right
RESET: Resets instantaneous values and various calculated values. Resets do not occur while calculations are in progress. Please stop the calculations and then reset.
Press and hold the key for 2 seconds or more to activate key protection. If you press or hold a key while key protection is active, a message (KEY PROTECT) will be displayed. To deactivate key protection, press and hold the key again for 2 seconds or more.

(2) Rear panel

11. BCD OUT connector
Connectors for BCD output, control output, or external command signal input.
12. Protective installation terminal
To prevent electric shock and eliminate noise, always ground the device.
13. SIG IN connector
Input signals from gauge sensors or rotary encoders.
14. Power input terminal
Input AC 100-240 V (50/60 Hz) power.
15. Comparator 1/2/3 Output Terminals
When each comparator is ON, output is via one make contact.
