How do I perform the initial setup when using the FP-213/213S flow detector with the FM-2500 flow indicator?

When using the FM-series for the first time, you must configure the following items on the FP-flow detector during initial setup.
Similarly, if you change the FP-flow detector you are using, you will need to configure it in the same way.

<Caution>

  • This is how to set up the standard specifications. Please note that the settings will differ for custom specifications.
  • This is how to configure the settings from the factory default.
  • This setting measures instantaneous flow rate (volume). For settings for other measurements, please refer to the instruction manual.
  • The display refresh time is 1 second (factory default). Please refer to the instruction manual for instructions on how to change this setting.

(1) Set the date. (※This step is unnecessary if the date is correct) →Click here for instructions on how to set the date.

(2) Set the detector, factor value, and encoder pulse in that order.

 

<Operating Procedure>


1. SETUPPress (MENU) to display the settings screen.

If using multiple devices, each one requires separate configuration.

2. The DF-0400 Setup menu will be displayed.

3. The Sensor setup menu will be displayed.

4. Display the list of detectors to configure.

>> Select the detector to use
(The currently selected sensor has been reversed.)

 

5. Specify the detector to use.

6. Set the factor value.

The higher-order digits of the factor value are inverted.

>>Set the factor value as indicated on the detector's nameplate or inspection report.

leftorrightPressing this button will move the inverted digit.

upordownPressing this button will increase or decrease the inverted value.

[Example of a 4-digit factor value]
If the factor value is 4 digits, set the most significant digit to 0: 09824 (Example setting)

7. Factor Value Determination

ENTERPressing this button confirms the setting of the factor value.

8. Encoder pulse settings

If the encoder pulse is displayed (set) as 120*10, no further settings are required.
→Please proceed to step 10.

If it is set (displayed) to something other than 120*10,
If you want to set it to "120", please do so.

ENTERPressing this button will display a list of pulse count options.

9. Select from the list of options.

ENTERPressing this button confirms the encoder pulse.

The number of decimal places displayed will start from 0.000.
*If you want to reduce the number of digits by one, please select 120.

10. MENUPressing this button will bring up the measurement display screen.


 

Press SensThis sets the rated pressure of the pressure sensor.

No pressure sensor is used, so no settings are required. (The factory default settings are fine.)
