How do I perform the initial setup when using the FP-213/213S flow detector with the FM-1500 flow indicator?

When using the FM-series for the first time, you must configure the following items on the FP-flow detector during initial setup.
Similarly, if you change the FP-flow detector you are using, you will need to configure it in the same way.

Initial setup method when using the FP213/213S flow detector with the FM-1500 flow indicator.

 

Set the following in order: ① detector, ② factor value, and ③ encoder pulse.

 

<Caution>

  • This is how to set up the standard specifications. Please note that the settings will differ for custom specifications.
  • This is how to configure the settings from the factory default.
  • This setting measures instantaneous flow rate (volume). For settings for other measurements, please refer to the instruction manual.

 

■ In Setup mode, the blue background with white lettering below each key on the device indicates the key's function.

 

<Operating Procedure>

 

1. SETUPPress this button to enter Setup mode. → Click here for the software setup flow.

2. The Sensor Select settings will be displayed.
*If it is not a Sensor Select setting item, please wait until it is displayed.NEXTPress

3.ENTERPressing this button will cause the selected item to flash.

(1) Select FP213

4. ENTERPressing this button confirms the flow detector settings.

5.NEXTPressing this button will display the Sensor Factor settings.

6.ENTERPressing this button will cause the most significant digit to flash.

>> Set the factor value listed on the detector's nameplate or inspection report.

 

UPorDOWNPressing this button will increase or decrease the blinking number.

 

LEFTorRIGHTPressing this button will move the configurable blinking digit.


[When the factor value has 4 digits]

Sensor Factor (4 digits)If the factor value has four digits, the leading zero is removed.

 

7.ENTERPressing this button confirms the setting of the factor value.

 

 

8.NEXTPressing this button will display the Sensor Pulse settings.

(2) If 120 (P/R) * 10 is displayed, no settings are required.
11. Configure the Sensor Press settings.

The displayed decimal places will start from 0.000.
* If you want to reduce the number of digits by one, please see the settings within the red dashed line below.

 

(2) If set to anything other than 120 (P/R) * 10

 

9.ENTERPressing this button will cause the selected item to flash.

12.ENTERPressing this button will cause the selected item to flash.
