We are using the PP-010A slit disc in our crank angle detection system, but vibrations can cause surface runout and distortion. What are some countermeasures?
The PP-010A slotted disc is made of a 0.5 mm thick metal plate, so excessive vibrations transmitted from the rotating device may cause runout or distortion. In such cases, reinforce the PP-010A slotted disc by sandwiching it between disc-shaped plates as shown in the diagram below to prevent runout and distortion.
