Ono Sokki will exhibit at the science festival 'AICHI TECH DAY 2026'.

Ono Sokki Co., Ltd. (President: Yuji Okoshi), a manufacturer and seller of electronic measuring instruments, exhibited at "AICHI TECH DAY 2026" (organized by the AICHI TECH DAY Executive Committee) held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the "Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan Memorial Park (Moricoro Park) Global Center for Sustainable Development" in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture.

AICHI TECH DAY is an experiential science event aimed at addressing the serious shortage of science and engineering personnel and the disengagement of younger generations from science. This year marks its second occurrence, with 44 organizations participating, including university research groups, companies, and science clubs. On the day of the event, approximately 3,300 people, mainly families, attended, making the venue very lively.

At our booth, we conducted experience content using measuring instruments, such as a 'loud voice contest.' Many people, from children to adults, participated and experienced the fun and importance of 'measuring' in a game-like way.

Through our participation in this event, we aim to utilize the "measurement technology" we have cultivated over many years to widely promote the appeal of manufacturing, as well as contribute to creating opportunities to nurture the next generation's interest in science and manufacturing. Additionally, while enhancing recognition of the "Chubu Linkage Commons (CLC)" scheduled to open in the fall of 2027 in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, we will continue to actively engage in business activities rooted in the local community.

Ono Sokki Booth: 'Measuring Yourself!'

At our booth "Hakaratte Nanbo!", we utilized measuring instruments to allow both children and adults to experience the importance and fun of measurement in a game-like manner. By actually measuring things that are usually invisible, such as "sound", "force", and "length", we provided an opportunity for visitors to feel closer to measurement technology.

Limit Break! Loud Voice Contest

A game was held using the high-function sound level meter LA-7500 and an original app to measure voice volume in competition. The records of the top three participants were displayed, and many visitors challenged themselves until the end of the event, making the venue very lively.

Can you become a Twist Master!

A game was conducted using the "Small High-Rigidity Torque Detector RH Series" and an original app, where participants collected apples to compete for scores. The further they moved from the center of the screen, the more twisting force (torque) was required, prompting participants to adjust their strength while challenging themselves. They experienced the magnitude of torque and engaged with the fun of measurement.

Using the "Digital Linear Gauge Sensor GS Series," we measured the thickness of familiar objects while predicting their dimensions. By using items such as CDs, tissues, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil, participants experienced the differences between their usual perceptions and the actual measurement values, deepening their understanding of the world of millimeters.
