Ono Sokki Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Yuji Okoshi), a manufacturer and distributor of electronic measuring instruments, has been participating in the "Educational Program Provision Project by Companies, etc." promoted by the Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Prefectural Board of Education) since 2025 as part of its social contribution activities. As the first step in our response, on February 5, 2026, we conducted an educational program titled "Experience the World of Sound That Will Keep You Up at Night with Measuring Instruments!" for 10 students at Kanagawa Prefectural Yokohama Asahigaoka High School (hereinafter referred to as Yokohama Asahigaoka High School).

On the day of the program, participants engaged in inquiry-based learning, focusing on "proximity warning sounds," which are becoming increasingly important with the spread of hybrid and electric vehicles, and exploring the role and nature of sound. Through experiences that involved not only "listening" to sounds but also "evaluating and creating" them, participants learned about the "signal sounds" that are prevalent in everyday life and the role they play in society from multiple perspectives.
Our company aims to provide children with learning opportunities that benefit the community and society by utilizing the measurement technology we have cultivated over many years and conveying the joy of manufacturing and the appeal of work.

"The brainstorming session we did during this field trip was an unfamiliar experience for us high school students. We wrote our opinions, impressions, and thoughts on sticky notes and attached them to a board, then looked for commonalities and differences, and collectively summarized our conclusions. As a result, I think we were able to arrive at a clear answer. The anechoic chamber and reverberation chamber that we also visited were environments that we would almost never experience in our daily lives. I felt that opportunities like this to learn about companies are very valuable. I would like to apply what I learned this time to my future high school life."
