The Japanese Industrial Standard JIS C 1515:2004 for acoustic calibrators was updated from the 2004 version to the 2020 version in January 2020.
JIS C 1515:2020 is a Japanese Industrial Standard created based on IEC 60942, which was published in 2017, without changing its technical content or structure. Therefore, starting with shipments from April 16, 2020, the notation on the nameplate has been changed to reflect the revised JIS standard.
For customers using the SC-2500 acoustic calibrator that has already been shipped (shipped before April 16, 2020)
Customers who wish to update their JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) markings should request proofreading services from us (for a fee).
After receiving your SC-2500 acoustic calibrator, we will perform calibration and inspection at our company and update the notation to the revised JIS C 1515:2020 standard.
