The History of Ono Sokki

Established as Ono Ono Sokki Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Manufactured Japan's first tachometer for jet engines.
The history of Ono Sokki began with the creation of Japan's first domestically produced tachometer for jet engines, by the late Yoshichiro Ono. This marked the beginning of digital measurement, as digital technology was first applied to the field of measurement in Japan.

The digital torque meter received the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Product Award in 1965.
The company received the prestigious and historically significant award from the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers. Torque measurement is one of Ono Sokki 's specialties, and the company continues to develop new products in this field.

I received the 31st Asahara Technical Achievement Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan.
It is no exaggeration to say that Ono Sokki 's measurement technology has grown alongside the development of the automotive industry. In recognition of its contributions to the advancement of automotive technology, the company received an award from the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan.

A new acoustic lab consisting of an anechoic chamber, a semi-anechoic chamber, a reverberation chamber, and a measurement room has been established at the Yokohama Technical Center.
Ono Sokki 's anechoic chambers boast top-level performance in Japan, and we have a full team of expert staff specializing in acoustics and vibration. In addition to renting out our acoustic laboratory, we also offer contract measurement services.

A new automotive testing lab has been established at the Yokohama Technical Center.
This experimental building allows for the development and verification of the latest measurement and control technologies. It includes test rooms for various tests on individual engines and drive systems, as well as laboratories capable of accommodating large-scale machinery.

We have relocated our head office and software development center to Shin-Yokohama.
This is our headquarters and software development base. We are equipped with the latest facilities to create new software, and our location near Shin-Yokohama Station, which is served by the Shinkansen bullet train, provides excellent access to various locations.

A new Automotive Testing Lab has been established at the Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center.
We merged with our manufacturing subsidiary, Ono Ono Sokki, Ltd., and renamed it Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center. We also opened a second experimental building for automotive testing. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, we can handle a wide range of inspections and tests.

Headquarters relocated to Minato Mirai
We have relocated our headquarters to Minato Mirai, one of Yokohama's leading business districts and tourist destinations.
We have adopted a layout that creates a more comfortable working environment for our employees.
