"Repolyzer World (XN-8000 Series Repolyzer)" Development Story - Part 1

Leaving aside the technical details of the measurements for a moment, over the next four installments, we will share firsthand accounts from the development team about their passion and the challenges they faced in developing "Repolyzer World (XN-8000 series reporter)."
"Repolyzer World" was developed with a significantly different concept from the DS-2000 series data station, but it is designed to be very compatible with the DS-2000 series data station. The hardware uses the DS-2000 series data station, and the data measurements are displayed directly on the screen as reports and can be printed out. In addition, after data is recorded with the DS-2000 series data station, it can also be used as software for data analysis and report creation. Now, please listen to the explanation.

 1. Development Concept

As the name Repolyzer suggests, its main concept is the "fusion of measurement software and reporting software." It presented the challenge of combining two completely different things, like mixing oil and water. Just as mixing oil and water successfully can create a delicious dressing, we created and commercialized Repolyzer.
First, our initial approach was "thinking outside the box."
In other words, instead of a "measurement ⇒ report" approach, we conceived the product from the perspective of the final deliverable report. We wanted to create a product that would allow customers to focus on the final deliverable report, minimizing the need to think about the measurement process. This is because we assumed that measurement was not their primary business.
In other words, I considered my main duties to be either "reporting measured data to my supervisor" or "improving the quality of customers' products based on the measured data."
Therefore, we decided to develop and provide software that can support our customers' entire business operations. Repolyzer offers a free viewer. Using this, data can be shared as reports with moving waveforms, and it is extremely effective for creating urgent data reports.
We also considered that the core of the work involves comparing data such as "before and after countermeasures" and "existing products versus new products." For data comparison, it is possible to overlay graphs and perform calculations such as averaging by dragging graphs, without using formulas or commands.
Repolyzer is designed to seamlessly integrate data into your reports. It handles raw measurement data, recording data in ORF and WAV formats, and graph data in DAT and TXT formats, all with the same operation. Furthermore, images and shapes are handled in the same way, so anyone who has ever used drawing software or pasted shapes into Excel or Word will find Repolyzer easy to use.
One customer told us that their supervisor instructed them to "replace the data in the report," but because they were using Repolyzer, they were able to "handle it in just a few minutes," and they expressed their delight. Previously, they had to launch the measurement software, re-examine the data waveforms, convert them to text and save them. Then, they would create graphs from that text data in Excel or Word and recreate the report, which apparently took several hours.
