Our company conducted joint research with our technology partner, AKKA GmbH & Co. KGaA (headquarters: Sindelfingen, Germany), and co-authored a research paper. Furthermore, we presented our research findings at the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan's 2019 Autumn Meeting Academic Conference, held in Sendai from October 9th to 11th, 2019.
In this joint research, we focused on whining noise, which is perceived as an abnormal sound in Europe. We compared the NVH analysis results of the electric vehicle's E-drive unit (gearbox, E-motor, converter), measured by our company using an anechoic chassis dynamometer, with the results of simulations conducted by AKKA based on 3D scan data of the unit. We propose that NVH behavior can be accurately predicted through simulation.
