LA-7000 and new optional features
The FFT analysis function allows for narrowband analysis not only of sound intensity but also of sound pitch (frequency). The averaging function stabilizes the waveform by averaging, and the trigger function allows you to capture not only steady-state sounds but also single-note phenomena.
The level judgment function improves visibility by making OK/NG clearer, making it effective for monitoring and judging product noise levels. The judgment output can also be used for applications such as activating sequencers and warning lights.
The loudness calculation function is useful when you can distinguish between loud and quiet sounds by human ear, but the difference doesn't show up in the numerical noise level. It's an effective method for evaluating stationary sounds. For non-stationary sounds, you can record them with a sound level meter* and evaluate them using the separately sold sound quality evaluation software, Oscope.
At the same time, the device's firmware was updated, and USB mass storage functionality was added as a standard feature.
