The TH-3000 series micro-torque detector is a torque detector with an accuracy of ±0.2%/FS and capable of handling high-speed rotations of up to 25,000 r/min. It detects the input and output torque of rotating parts such as small precision motors, actuators, and bearings, as well as various rotational mechanisms, with high resolution and accuracy. Due to its excellent responsiveness, it can measure transient torques that change rapidly from stop to start of operation, as well as torque ripple (fine fluctuations in torque) at actual operating rotation speeds.
In recent years, small motors have come into widespread use not only in portable electronic devices and SLR cameras, and in office automation equipment such as PCs and printers, but also in automotive parts such as power steering and pumps. For these motors, in addition to basic performance characteristics such as torque and rotational speed, low torque ripple is also a crucial factor. High torque ripple generates noise and vibration during operation, negatively impacting the driver's steering feel in power steering systems and affecting the overall quality of the vehicle. Furthermore, it reduces motor efficiency, making it essential to minimize these issues.
The TH-3000 series of minute torque detectors, which possess the performance to meet these needs, has now expanded its lineup with the addition of three new models: 0.5 N･m, 1 N･m, and 2 N･m. Together with the three models (0.05 N･m, 0.1 N･m, and 0.2 N･m) released last year, the lineup now consists of six models, enabling a wider range of applications.
