We are pleased to announce that we have updated the firmware version of our "Sound Level Meter LA-1440/4440" to Ver.2.10.
This version upgrade improves the data transfer speed when using RS-232C or USB for communication with the LA-1440/4440 sound level meter.
Customers who wish to upgrade the firmware version of their LA-1440/4440 sound level meter should contact their assigned sales office or distributor.
This firmware update is free of charge. Please note that the firmware update will require us to take your sound level meter back to us.
Applicable models
Integral-averaged sound level meters LA-1440 and LA-4440
(Firmware version: Ver.1.20 or earlier)
Improvement function
Data transfer speeds using RS-232C and USB are improved. For example, the transfer time when transferring large amounts of trend data recorded in AUTO 3 mode, etc., to a PC is improved. When using the free software "Memory Read," the memory data transfer time becomes 10 to 100 times faster when connected via USB.
Note
This version update improves communication functionality. There are no changes to other features.
Transfer speeds vary depending on the PC's capabilities and operating environment.
LA-1410 does not include the improved communication function, so there is no need to upgrade.
Customers who do not use the communication functions of the LA-1440/4440 do not need to upgrade their software.
How to check the firmware version
In the Sound Level Meter menu, move the cursor to "OPT/VER" in the "CONDITION menu" and press the [ENTER]/(START) switch to the OPTION/VERSION screen, which displays the sound level meter's firmware version and the model names of the installed options, allowing you to check the firmware version.
