Current FFT analyzers are predominantly PC-based, requiring analysis software to be installed on a computer and a signal input unit to be connected. While this configuration is suitable for large- and medium-scale measurements and analyses using numerous sensors and signals, it has drawbacks in relatively small-scale measurements and analyses, or in mobile measurement environments, such as the cumbersome wiring of equipment connections, power supplies, and mice, and the difficulty of operating a PC in some field settings. There has been a demand from the field for a new all-in-one FFT analyzer that does not require a PC and is suited to modern office work, and the "Data Palette® CF-7200," which we are now releasing, is the answer to this demand.
The CF-7200 "Data Palette®" portable 2-channel FFT analyzer is a 2-channel input FFT analyzer with a 10.4-inch touch panel LCD and capable of frequency analysis in the 100kHz range. Pursuing ease of use and mobility in any measurement environment, it significantly reduces the size and weight of conventional integrated FFT analyzers, achieving an A4 file size and a weight of approximately 3.5kg. The main unit can be freely positioned using the 360-degree rotating handle as a stand. Intuitive and continuous settings and operations are possible through the combined use of buttons and the touch panel. Easy data management is achieved by adding marks and notes directly to the screen, or attaching voice memos to measurement data using the microphone. Each input is isolated and supports TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet). By reading electronic data sheets such as sensitivity recorded on TEDS sensors, sensor calibration is simplified. It also features an output terminal that allows monitoring of the input signal as sound, enabling auditory confirmation of the sensor's operating status. The device utilizes a high-capacity CF (CompactFlash) memory card as its data recording medium, enabling long-term data recording. DAT, TXT, and BMP formats can be saved simultaneously, allowing for smooth processing with office software. The interface is USB (1.1/2.0), enabling high-speed data transfer to a PC and printing using a dedicated printer. Furthermore, its dedicated lithium-ion rechargeable battery provides approximately 4 hours of cordless operation, making it suitable for use in measurement environments where a power source is unavailable.
