Sound level meters have become an indispensable measurement tool when addressing the issue of "noise," which directly affects daily life, such as environmental noise and traffic noise. In particular, recent noise measurements require a large amount of data, and depending on environmental conditions and noise characteristics, it is necessary to conduct measurements intermittently 24 hours a day. Furthermore, since April 1, 1999, new "environmental standards for noise" have been enforced by a notification from the Environment Agency, and measurement methods have changed significantly from conventional methods.
The newly developed LA-1200 series of four standard sound level meters meet these market needs while also achieving a three-quarters weight reduction (260g) and a longer battery life (approximately 40 hours) compared to our previous models. Furthermore, digital processing expands the measurement range from the conventional 50dB to 85dB while maintaining high stability, making them suitable for a wide range of sound level measurements. In addition, they come standard with a key protection function to prevent accidental operation and a resume function that allows the device to start up with the last settings even after being turned off.
