Ono Sokki has become the only sound level meter manufacturer in Japan that can perform calibration on behalf of designated calibration organizations.
On September 1st, our ISO 9001 quality management system was evaluated, and we received designation from the Minister of International Trade and Industry as a manufacturer of specified measuring instruments under the Designated Manufacturer System. This is the first designation for a sound level meter in Japan. With this designation, we can now perform sound level meter calibration in-house, in accordance with Article 90 of the Measurement Law, instead of relying on the designated calibration body, JQA (Japan Quality Assurance Organization). This will allow us to provide you with calibration-approved sound level meters even more quickly than before.
This system addresses the internationalization of measurement and utilizes private sector resources by stipulating that inspections conducted by registered manufacturers approved by the Minister of International Trade and Industry are considered equivalent to inspections conducted by designated inspection bodies.
*Sound level meters are designated as legal measuring instruments by the government and are subject to a national certification system. According to the Measurement Law, when using sound level values for trade or certification, measurements must be taken using a sound level meter that has passed certification and has an expiration date (3 years).
