The Torque Station Pro TS-8700 is a motor basic characteristic measurement system with significantly improved specifications and functions. Combined with the MT-type motor torque detector equipped with a TH-type torque detector, it enables high-precision, high-response motor torque measurement with a maximum sampling rate of 5.12 kHz and an accuracy of ±0.1% FS. Furthermore, a lineup incorporating the compact, high-rigidity RH series torque detector (10 N・m / 20 N・m) has been added. This allows for even higher-precision motor torque measurement (±0.05% FS). This system is ideal for measuring torque fluctuations in automotive motors, such as EPS motors.

Features

A wide range of products to accommodate various motors.

It incorporates a motor torque sensor switching function and supports 2 channels as standard, with up to 4 channels available as an option.
Furthermore, a wide range of MT series detectors are available for the TS-8700, enabling characteristic measurement of a diverse variety of motors.
We offer 58 different detector models across three series: one for high-speed rotating motors, one for high-capacity motors, and one for torque ripple and cogging torque measurement, allowing you to choose the model that best suits your application.

High precision and high response

When combined with an MT detector equipped with a TH-type torque detector, it is possible to measure torque with an accuracy of ±0.1% FS and a maximum sampling frequency of 5.12 kHz.

Furthermore, we have added support for the new compact, high-rigidity torque detector, the RH type. The RH type torque detector (10 N・m/20 N・m) is a torque detector that achieves high accuracy (±0.05 % FS) and high rigidity (4.5 times that of conventional models), enabling more accurate measurement of motor torque fluctuations up to higher frequency ranges.

Temperature measurement, temperature trigger function

We have added optional support for 8-channel temperature measurement and temperature triggering functions using T-type thermocouples. This allows for automatic measurement after warm-up, improving work efficiency.

Rotation angle measurement, rotation angle sampling

The built-in encoder pulse of the motor under test enables rotation angle measurement and angle sampling measurement.
Furthermore, by adding an optional encoder to the MT-82 T/M series (excluding some models) for cogging torque and torque ripple measurement, it becomes possible to measure rotational angle and angle sampling in 0.1° increments.

Power meter digital communication

It can connect to power meters from other manufacturers via LAN, allowing for digital acquisition of measured data.
Our designated power meters include the following five models:

Yokogawa Electric Corporation: WT1800R, WT1800E, WT300E (using WTViewerEfree*1 Ver1.72 or later)
HIOKI E.E. CORPORATION: PW3390, PW3337 (using PW Communicator*2 Ver1.7.0 or later)
PW8001 (Configured using the device's keypad or browser. No special software is required.)
*Note: The TS-8700's data update interval is limited to a maximum of 50 ms.
The TS-8700 requires DSP version 201 or higher and software version 2.2.0.0 or higher.

Selectable mounting frame and fixtures for the equipment configuration.

You can configure the device by selecting from tabletop stands, floor stands with casters, XYZ stages, slide bases, V-blocks, and L-shaped fixtures according to the size of the test specimen and the installation location. However, there are limitations on selection depending on the torque capacity of each series.

  • This software measures the torque, rotational speed, current, and voltage of a DC motor and displays their characteristics graphically. Furthermore, it can also display efficiency through internal calculations.

  • Motor voltage and current are measured separately using a voltage/current detector (custom-made) or power meter.

This eliminates the influence of fluctuating components caused by the device components and resonant components, including those in the test specimen.
