Laser in-plane velocometer
LV-7000シリーズ

High-response, high-precision detection of speed differences using an eye-safe laser.
The LV-7000 series is a highly sensitive, high-response laser in-plane velocometer that detects the speed, speed fluctuations, and distance/length of moving and rotating objects without contact.
Because it can detect objects without contact, it can be easily installed and used to take measurements in places where measurement was previously difficult.
By using the LV-7000 series laser in-plane velocity meter, it becomes possible to more accurately evaluate product characteristics that were previously difficult to assess and understand phenomena, which can be used for material selection, improving component quality, and reducing waste materials.

Introducing the new LV-7200 laser in-plane velocometer with 2-channel detection and differential calculation capabilities.
Without processing the object, it outputs the speed difference between any two points in a machine system with an accuracy of 3,000 ppm (0.3%). This output can be used for speed control in production equipment for lithium-ion batteries and high-performance films, contributing to the reduction of losses in the processing stage.

Features

Complies with laser safety class 2 and offers high-sensitivity detection.

  • Wearing laser safety glasses and regulations/management of laser-controlled areas are not required.

  • High-sensitivity detection is achieved through a unique optical system and circuitry. It is compatible with a wide range of objects.

  • The detection area can be clearly identified, making positioning and verification quick and easy.

Measurement is possible without load or contact.

  • The laser spot is small, resulting in high spatial resolution. It can detect threads, wires, and narrow areas.

  • Laser detection ensures that no defects such as scratches, wrinkles, or deformations occur due to abrasion.

  • It is less affected by the bounce and vibration of the target, and does not slip or wear down.

  • This system enables speed and length detection in vertical and negative gradient sections, which are difficult to achieve with contact-based methods.

  • It can detect the elongation rate and direction of stretchable materials such as rubber, resin, and woven fabrics.

The main unit has been redesigned, adding new features and further improving performance.

  • By connecting two sensors and performing differential calculations internally, it can be used for real-time evaluation of slip and twist.

  • A new WideBand mode has been added, extending the frequency response up to 20 kHz, enabling more responsive measurements.

  • The detection speed can be extended up to a maximum of 6,600 m/min. A single unit can measure a wide range of speeds, from zero to high speeds.

  • Equipped with a touch panel and condition memory function, it enables speedy operation, contributing to reduced measurement time.
